We are delighted to write you to share with you the wonderful news that the Shang Shung Institute of America's Tibetan Medicine Program has officially received its License from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Education.
This is the result of much hard work on the part of many individuals -- Dr. Phuntsog Wangmo, past and present SSI's Board members, the pioneering students of the Traditional Tibetan Medical program, among others-- to whom we convey our most heart felt thanks. As many of you already know, this was a long process, and it is just one of the steps towards getting accreditation in the United States for the Tibetan Medicine Program. It is also a fundamental cornerstone for the Shang Shung Institute, and its future goals of expansion and growth as a cultural and educational institution with the mission to preserve and promote Tibetan Culture, Arts, Language, History, Medicine and Philosophy.
